Talented artists and photographers across the Liverpool City Region are being called to enter their work for a North West showcase.
Organisers of this year’s Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival are inviting creative competitors who live and work within a 50-mile radius of the town to get involved in the event.
Those who enter can submit up to three works for consideration and the online entry process will remain open until Friday 26 August.
The month-long festival, now in its sixth year, will then get underway from 30 September until 29 October.
It will bring together a programme of performances, exhibitions, talks and tours including the flagship art and photography open exhibitions.
For both the art and photography exhibitions, the first prize-winning entry will receive £250 plus a solo exhibition in 2017, while second prize is £100.
Building on the success of previous years, the Contemporary Open will be hosted by Warrington Museum & Art Gallery while the Photography Open will be on show in The Gallery at Warrington’s Bank Quay House.
