Chinese State Circus

The internationally acclaimed Chinese State Circus regularly sells out around the world and with acrobats, aerial artists and jugglers performing a breathtaking routine it’s not hard to see why. A great day out for everyone from toddlers to grandparents. Prepare to be amazed.

Milkshake Live – The Magic Storybook

With two ‘Milkshake’ presenters on hand to lead the way, take a trip through the Magic Storybook and some of your favourite fairy tales.

Dragon Boat storytelling

As the much loved Dragon Boat Festival returns, let your little ones learn more about it through some fascinating storytelling, courtesy of BBC Radio Merseyside’s ‘Orient Express’ presenter Billy Hui.

We’re going on a Bear Hunt
1 – 2 July, The Brindley, Runcorn
If you missed the ‘Bear Hunt’ pop-up in Liverpool then this is your chance to get a taste of the magic.
After proving to be a smash hit in London’s West End and touring the country with a series of sell out shows, director Sally Cookson’s adaptation of the Michael Rosen classic heads to Runcorn. Expect singing, laughs and plenty of audience participation.
8 July, World Museum
One for budding scientists, this event will give youngsters the change to meet with scientists from the University of Liverpool to discover where diseases come from, how we can spot them and how we can treat them. A fascinating day of discovery.

British Gymnastics Championship Series
27 – 30 July, Echo Arena
The best and brightest talents in gymnastics battle it out to be crowned British Champion in this awe-inspiring event. Superstar athletes like Ellie Downie and Claudia Fragapane will be showing off their skills over this three-day event which is sure to be a huge hit with young and old sports fans alike.
