Plans for a new apartment development on the site of a historic lodge on Woolton Road have been revealed.
Maldon Lodge, built in the early 1800s, would be demolished under the proposals and replaced with 25 apartments.
The development, made up of two-bedroom properties could also include terraces, balconies and communal garden space.
A planning application has been submitted to Liverpool City Council for the proposed scheme by LAG Pritchard Architects on behalf of Propstar Alpha Limited.
Documents included in the application comment that the proposal seeks to make a “much improved use of the site” and to do so in a manner which is “in keeping with the adjacent and local buildings”.
The application adds that it has been proven that apartment accommodation in the Childwall area is “very popular and there is a need for such accommodation”.
If approved, the new development would border Our Lady’s Bishop Eton Primary School’s playground, the bowling greens at the rear of the Halfway House and the Sisters of Notre Dame Convent.
